A biological protocol for extraction of non-vital teeth using the safest and most biocompatible materials and techniques

  • Who is a good candidate for dental ozone therapy?
These sessions will benefit anyone dealing with gum disease, infected teeth, tooth decay, cavities, or interested in using ozone for preventative care. If you think you are a good candidate for dental ozone therapy and feel deeply aligned about becoming a member of our holistic health and wellness community, please contact Adore to schedule an appointment :)
  • Is ozone treatment painful?
Not one bit as it is a natural non-invasive method that does not involve drills, fillings or injections.
  • What are good resources on dental ozone?
    - The Use of Ozone in Medicine by Renate Viebahn - Ozone Therapy by Dr. Frank Shallenberger MD - Information thorugh the International Academy of Biological Dentistry and Medicine
  • How long is the recovery process?
With no drilling or pain medications that can make you feel low on energy, you'll be feeling normal after your session is complete.
  • How is dental ozone delivered in patient care?
The primary forms of ozone applications that we use are ozonated water and pure oxygen/ ozone gas.
  • Is ozone toxic?
When used properly, the strong oxidant is not harmful to normal healthy cells. As far as any potential side effects, they do rarely happen but it is something to be mindful about - such as burning eyes, coughing, nausea, lightheadedness, and a possible headache.

4

A dental ozone application is recommended to infuse oxygen into the extracted area to help regrowth of the capillaries that were affected during the procedure and kill bacteria and viruses to promote healthy overall healing.

3

Once the tooth is extracted, the periodontal ligament and necrotic tissue is removed to help prevent leaving behind infection such as cavitation, problems in the jaw, and facilitate natural nutrient blood flow for effective post-extraction healing.

2

Dr. Emilyann Pham and Dr. Ann Shui will use extraction forceps and dental elevators to grasp and apply pressure on the tooth to remove it.

1

Dr. Emilyann Pham and Dr. Ann Shui begins the tooth extraction process  with a shot of anesthetic to numb the tooth, gum and bone tissue surrounding it.

Your Wellness Journey

5

Dr. Emilyann Pham and Dr. Ann Shui will close up the space vacated by the tooth with specific healing techniques to control bleeding and minimize any swelling.

6

Follow simple after care instructions to minimize discomfort and reduce the risk of infection, as well as taking a few days to rest and recover for optimal recovery time.

For any dental pain that has been left untreated, removing the tooth might be the only method to alleviate your pain and get you back on the path of optimal oral health.

Get out of pain

1

Prevent any unnecessary dental treatments and complex procedures by minimizing a cavity or infection to spread to neighboring and surrounding teeth.

Protect the rest of your teeth

2

Our protocol includes the complete removal of periodontal ligament and necrotic tissue with recommended administration of post-extraction dental ozone.

I am so happy I found this place! I initially came here for bonding on my front tooth. Dr. Pham was able to get me in right away and did a fantastic job on my smile. She took the time to talk to me about my concerns.

It was amazing to find a dental practice that goes above and beyond with their education and actually put it into practice. Dr. Pham is a great listener and is very knowledgeable about dental and whole body health.

I have tried several dentists in the Houston area and hands down this is the one my whole family will return to!
